FM24 Best Wonderkid Strikers

I’m 99% certain that you’ll have realised that 5 Star Potential was a nod to the famous scouting grade for players with exceptional potential in Football Manager and every year we love to talk about Wonderkids and other great players our journeys uncover and it’s no different for Football Manager 2024 as we take a look at some players you should start scouting in your saves. 

Some of these players will be standout, household names and others just interesting prospects for all different types of clubs, basically, they are players we really like the look of. 

Elye Wahi
Club: RC Lens

If our Wonderkid Watch piece on this lad a few months back didn’t convince you, then his recent form for Lens following a €30m move from Montpellier should reinforce his undoubted quality and goalscoring ability, in particular his Champions League performances which saw him score and assist in ther 2-1 defeat of Arsenal earlier this season. In FM24, we are looking at one of the top strikers in the game with world class attributes in terms of Pace, Acceleration, Off the Ball, Dribbling and most importantly, Finishing where he already has 16 at the age of just 20 years old. A big price tag considering he has only just moved clubs, but one for the shortlist if you are mounting a top level domestic or continental challenge.

Karim Konaté
Club: Red Bull Salzburg

They say when one door closes, another opens and that has certainly been the case for Red Bull Salzburg. Sadio Mané, Erling Haaland, Patson Daka, Karim Adeyemi, Benjamin Šeško - all high profile departures which normally might cripple the selling club, but in Salzburg’s case they always have their next wonderkid ready to come in and this time it’s Karim Konaté who has stepped up to the plate, racking up 10 goals and 6 assists so far this season in all competitions. In FM24 we see a 19-year-old bagsman with 15 Pace, 17 Acceleration, 14 Finishing and interestingly 16 Bravery & 17 Determination. Valued at less than £20m, what’s not to like?

Youssoufa Moukoko
Club: Borussia Dortmund

Feels like we’ve been talking about this guy for ages but all that tells us is how good he has been since he first appeared in the game aged 16 in believe it or not, FM21! Since then he has continually held wonderkids status and been a go-to striker in-game, and FM24 looks to be no different as we see an 18-year-old with an attribute rating of 15 for Pace, Acceleration, Off the Ball, Flair, First Touch, Technique and Finishing. No matter what way you look at it these are insane numbers for a player his age, and though his value is high his contract isn’t too long so you might not have to wait long to commence your pursuit 👀.
